opening post

Hey there gang..... trying out the whole blog thing, I figured it would be a great way to keep in touch with my new family ( thanks RC they are great ).
Well in case you are wondering how the wedding went, it was amazing. We had such a great time and neither of us can stop talking about how wonderful it was. My dad sang during the ceremony. He sang "To Make You Feel My Love" by Garth Brooks. It was a tear jerk er for sure! We had originally planned to write our own vows and RC's turned out beautiful, mine however didn't exactly happen at all. There was effort, but with all the wedding planning, my creative juices were pretty much used up. So... we decided to just go with the Pastors default ceremony which turned out to be perfect. RC was blubbering like a baby pretty much through the whole ceremony, and I had to whisper to him to stop crying or else the tears would start flowing from me!
The kids for the most part did well trying so hard to hold still. The older 3 Andrew, Spencer, and Nathan did the best as the were pretending to be soldiers the whole time. I kept sneaking glances of them and Spencer had the most memorable smile on his face the whole time. Lauren was supposed to be being held by my maid of honor, my cousin Joe's wife Tysha, but that only lasted for a minute. She came over to her dad and was held for a minute there, then eventually she ended up in my mom's lap being bounced around to keep her somewhat quiet. When my dad started singing she was instantly stilled, with a glaze of calmness on her face. She was so cute watching him sing and play the guitar. Matthew, he was in charge of holding daddy's ring. He did well with that and luckily managed not to loose it. He was holding on to his daddy's leg through most of it but did spend a bit of time sprawled out on the floor. What a little pickle! he was so cute though. the 3 older boys were wearing khaki pants white shirts and little red ties, the looked very handsome. Matthew was wearing Khaki pants a white button up shirt and a red sweater vest. He was quite the stunner of a little man. Lauren was wearing a beautiful little dress, "pretties" in her hair and some little silver sparkle shoes. She was the hit of the party and just let everyone love on her all night.
I think the most memorable part of the night was when we did the cake cutting... It got really messy. RC cut me this tiny piece and cut himself a huge one, so i had to cut another slice so we were even. then we smashed the cake all over each other's face. it got up my nose in my eye and all over RC's suit! We got it all on video!
We stayed at the Castle Creek Inn that night and had a great time soaking in the tub and spending some quality time together. It was a wonderful day and am sad that not everyone that is close to us could have been there. I'll soon be posting pictures so everyone can see them. I will try to keep this updated every week with all the latest and greatest1
Much Love,
Lindsey
